We've decided to let our DS (10) and DD (8) have charging privleges on their key cards. Yes, a little risky, but we've given them a "we trust you" speech and a "don't you dare exceed your limit" speech.
Regarding the limit, DD wondered if they have to budget for sales tax. I couldn't answer. Since the ship will be at sea when they shop, I'm hoping everything will be tax-free, thereby easing the kids' burden of calculating their totals. If not, oh well, even tho they'll be missing 2 days of school, they'll still have to use their brains!
