Sales of DVC not slow in Orlando

Just to counter the Al Lutz article/thread

Last week during my trip I resisted until the last day about asking about the Contemporary, but I did chat with one CM in the lobby of one of the resorts

I first asked how sales were going, and she replied “Very busy; so busy they’ve even cut the cast member discount”

It would be interesting if any CMs on the DIS could confirm this.

Also, with regards to the Contemporary, nothing new other than that some of the CMs since they can’t talk about it, joke with questioners that it’s a parking lot, or a new super wal-mart. She said it’s obvious it’s going to be DVC, but it’s frustrating not having an official announcement.

I offered my opinion that it would be announced soon after SSR sells out, probably in July. She agreed that was a pretty good guess.

Any new news on when it's suppose to sell out? When we were there 2 weeks ago, we were told it would sell out by the end of the month (June). That's coming up on us fast, which means - hopefully - a Contemporary announcement will be coming soon.

ETA: I see now that you guessed July. So, that would mean it's slightly slower than what we were told 2 weeks ago. ???

We were told by a CM that SSR was to have sold out the previous friday, and they were waiting for confirmation on it. This would have been on June 6. Other sites are reporting that SSR did indeed sell out, but not on that date.

also hearing the annoucement for July.

my guides says they can't take vacation (unless it is already planned) for July and August.

so hopefully.

since they are expecting BLT to sell out and fast. definitely see doing away with CM discount - yea why give a discount you don't have too.

would love to see the new models this Sept!

Cool, I should get to take a tour when I go in August and more than likely buy!!
