Sale guide's email addresses?

From what I remember, you cannot email your guide. Somebody else will probably have the reason.

While DVC guides probably do have "official" Disney email addresses, they are not allowed to conduct any business thru that medium. If your guide provides an email address, feel free to use it, but I wouldn't expect them to respond to an unsolicited email.

My guide did send me an email, but it was from a personal AOL account.

You can email them but they cannot email you is what I'm told the rules are for them. I know some guides have violated the rule and don't know how well DVC management polices it. I know when I email my guide, she calls me so at least I know she's getting them.

Dean is correct. I have the same rapport with my guide.

I would prefer not to answer your question but would suggest a courtesy call to your guide asking if it would be OK to e-mail them. :)

In general, salespeople don't like using email, it's harder to use their "persuation" skills but also having a record of conversations, questions and answers, and promises usually benefits the consumer the most. Ever tried negotiating with a car salesman via email? It's difficult to do. Most of the time you will only get a message from them with their phone number telling you to call.

My guide told me they were not allowed to use email.

Is there a sequences to how your sales guides email address reads? For instance if your guide was Fred Smith would the email be Fred.Smith@DVC.com or Fred.Smith @disneyvacationclub.com or fsmith@dvc.com or fsmith@disneyvacationclub.com? If you have emailed your sales guide how does it read?

Thanks
Fred.Smith@disney.com is the version my guide uses. And I never heard of guides not being able to use email. Is there a difference before the sale vs after the sale?

While our guide was working on a cruise we worked out everything for our add-on by e-mail.We wanted to add-on 116 pts but in two contracts and still get the 2006 pts. and worked it all out by e-mail.And then we did the paper work while there in Oct.

I guess not, since I asked my guide the question about email a few weeks ago, and we have been owners for 10 years.
