Salad Oil

I have a recipe for Nutty Salad that has coleslaw mix and spinach, etc. in it. The recipe calls for salad oil. What exactly is SALAD OIL?? I saw somewhere that it could be olive oil, or italian dressing. I want to make this salad for a party this weekend and I'm not sure what to use. Any suggestions??

When a recipe has calle dfor salad oil, I use my vegetable oil. It always came out fine. I think it means an all purpose oil.

I would say vegetable oil.
