I know I need an alternative to the fat laced salad dressings that I love but I can't seem to find one that I actually like. :confused3 Does anyone have a favorite "lite" dressing?

There are two that I have been using.

Fat Free Ranch (Hidden Valley) which for one serving of 2 T, it has 30 calories and 6g carbs. I also use a fat free lime & basil vinaigrette which for the same serving size has 25 calories and 6g carbs. Vinaigrettes I notice have fewer calories...the stuff that makes dressings creamy can add more calories to it. Next time you go to the store, compare the dressings to each other. Not all fat free ranch dressings are the same, for example. Kraft fat free ranch had more calories and I believe more carbs as well.

I get Carb Well by Kraft. The Classic Caesar is my favorite. They have a few different types. Caesar is per 2 TBSP 110cal, 11g fat, 0trans fat, 5mg chol., 0carb, 310sodium. And the best part...it tastes just like the real thing. Or even better.

I like the Light Done Right - Three Cheese Ranch

the absolute BESTEST light rance i have EVER had

I've used Kraft Classic Italian Vinaigrette for a long time. 4g fat and 4g carb

Thanks! I can't wait to try these. I desperately want a new dressing but want one that I actually like and want to eat. LOL

I'm also a fan of the Light Done Right dressings. My favs are Raspberry Vinaigrette and French, neither are "light enough" for most folks, but I prefer to enjoy my salad.

I'll have to give the Three Cheese Ranch a try since ohMom has mentioned it. I never enjoy light Ranch dressings, but since it's Light Done Right I think I'll give it a try.

I was pondering this for dinner...what to do for a good, low cal salad dressing...i think i'll read labels and maybe try the carbwell

thanks guys!

I like the Ken's lite dressings. There is some sort of lite parmesan and a lite ceasar one that is yummy and tangy. Sometimes I'll make a packet of HVR with skim milk instead of whole. I don't know how many calories/fat that cuts but in my mind it's healthier (of course not as good) so I don't feel as guilty.

i forgot about Ken's Lite Casear -- yum!

also - I believe Ken's Raspberry Pecan Vinagrette (something like that - don't have one on hand but i'm remembering it's fat-free??)

Il like Good Season's Italian made with olive oil. Low car, olive oil is good for you and it doesn't taste like reservatives.

I bought some wishbone fat free italian last night, it was REALLY good...just wanted to share it with you guys!
