We should be staying at AKL about first 2 weeks of August !!! and we'll love to meet up with you !!!

As for THIS moment though I'm not sure of anything , as Dad just called me to say that he is due into hospital some time BEFORE Summer - for a ( hopefully ) "routine" heart surgery ...
Not sure what that means , we'll try to see through it over the next days ...

Hope everything will be fine , otherwise of course we'll cancell our trip ...

I don't normally post on the AK board, but I can answer this question! Chick-Fil-A has a chicken club sandwich that has grilled chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, & tomato on it. Yummy!

May have to get that next time (minus the tomato- not a big fan)


CjsMom- sorry we are sending it your way! Seriously, I thought they were kidding when they said expect snow showers. Its not even that light nobody cares snow- its that annoying people drive two miles per hour snow. Our closest Chick Fil A is 20 minutes away- which is a good thing or else I would be there much more often lol

Yeah, I am so over it. Remember that huge ice/snow storm on Groundhog Day that hit half the nation? That's the day we flew out of Cleveland to Disney. Our first flight was canceled, and our second flight (later in the afternoon) took forever to get in the air because they had to de-ice the plane. I was freaking out, not because I was scared to fly but because I was losing valuable Disney time.

Ok, stupid newbie question coming!

It's not specifically about the resort but kinda about the trip in general. So I put the deposit down for our trip when I booked to hold the rooms. I am making the final payment Thursday and I was wondering if Disney sends anything afterwards? Do they send a vacation packet or anything like that?
This trip is a suprise for the kids, they have no idea we are going and won't know until we pull onto World Drive. If something is coming in the mail I want to make sure that I am the one at the mailbox before any of the kiddos for the next couple of weeks.

Yes you will get mail and it will say DISNEY right on it. I would make sure to get to the mail before the kiddos

I feel so "dirty".....

Let me explain: My 6 year old son is in LOVE with Selena Gomez. Falls all over himself.

She is going on tour this summer, and coming to CT. My wife and I decided to pony up the $35 for a fan club membership (a fan club, I might add, that seems to be mostly made up of pre-teen and early teen girls) so we could get presale tickets for her show (which are a reasonable $40 for every seat in the place...thanks Mohegan Sun/Selena!).

The presale started at noon...and I managed to score tickets.

So..why do I feel dirty? I spent pieces of this past morning posting to the Selena forums. plotting ticket strategies (and in some cases TEACHING young girls proper ticket strategies) to aquire sed tickets.

When I got the tickets, I called my wife to share our good fortune. In the process of describing my morning....I realized that a 36 year old man posting to a forum predominantly populated by young girls seems skeevy. It FEELS skeevy. And now I'm waiting for that guy from Dateline NBC's "To catch a predator" series to dial my number.....

I will be deleting the bookmark to Selena's fan club site as soon as I click the "Submit Reply" button, below.

Given the command of the English language, the use of "texting English", and the ancillary conversations going on between them, I'm thinking (HOPING?) it was girls, not Mom's. There were SOME other parents, for sure (and I made sure to identify myself as a 36 year old dad, EARLY...so maybe that's points in my favor??). But most of them....definitely under the age of 18.

Which makes you wonder (as you point out) why they're not in school.... I hadn't even considered that til you pointed it out.

So now I'm teaching them how to most easily "defeat" ticketmaster AND contributing to their delinquency by "de facto" endorsing their truancy?

This just gets better and better.....
