Just a quick update to let you all know that Bob's outcome today was not as we had hoped. Still nothing by mouth. Six more weeks of therapy and a re-test in 6 weeks. As he said, "another bump in the road." thanks for your thoughts!!

Good morning! :goodvibes

Sun is shining here in Grayson, Georgia, but it's hotter and more humid than I like. A/C starts running around 8am and doesn't kick off at all until after 10pm :headache: (love the quality home construction!!!)

:rotfl:

Happy Saturday to you all! :cloud9:

....Jesse texted me an hour ago - they stayed overnight at an inexpensive hotel so that they could get the rented car this morning....they are almost in Vegas now!

:goodvibes

Just wanted to say just got back from AKL on the 1st. We had a great room...5201 it was a lodge view room. We enjoyed the two day stay, but I found the counter service location lacking.

Wow - I've always thought Mara was good....... (not cajun good - lol, but alright!!!) ;)

Hi everyone! I'm finally back from my vacation out in the South Dakota area. I visited 4 states, 12 National Park sites, 4 state park sites, and drove over 3,300 mile in the rental car. It was a bit (OK more than a bit) cold and wet, but a lot of fun.

Now to catch up on the DIS.

Hi everyone, I'm staying 2 nights AKL CL at the end of my food & wine trip in November and can't wait. I'm looking at it as a way of relaxing after all the food & wine events so a lot of my time will be spent at the resort itself.

I'm currently booked on the wanyama safari but I'm got a little doubt and would appreciate opinions/advice from all you AKL experts please. I'm doing the wanyama 'solo' and the 'safari' experience itself I'm absolutely fine with but I have a little doubt re. the dinner afterwards, i.e. is it usually a fun affair with no awkwardness or will I feel a little awkward being a solo, I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm dreading the thought of everyone else being a group or in couples and I'm out on a limb being a solo.

Thanks :goodvibes

Wanyama is a small group (8 to 12 people) so I think it really depends on your personality and the personalities of your safari-mates! Thinking back to my own experience, we had such a fun group (we were 3 families) that had there been a single, he/she would have fit right in with the group! :thumbsup2

Go with the attitude that you all will have such an amazing time on the safari that everyone will have lots to talk about at the dinner (including all the wonderful foods you will be served)! ;)
