Sailing the Ocean Blue...October 6, 2012 Eastern Fantasy

Random question... About how much can I expect to spend while on the cruise between drinks :stir:, the spa, & fun classes?

Not sure but I have to think drinks are from 4.40 up to 20.00 depending on what you order.. I am thinking most are like they were in Vegas-- 10.00 a pop. Spa treatment prices have to be somewhere on their site or internet-- probably 30.00 and up. I looked at a couples massage and it was close to 300.00. I know the wine tasting, etc... might be about 12-15 dollars each..
I know this didn't help much..but I'm just guessing on all this. Never been on a Disney cruise before. Julie

Pretty close! Spa treatments are all priced on the site. Go to the website select the Fantasy, the spa and then the treatment tabs, all are there. Drinks are 5 to 20 refills on the beer mug are right about $5 as are drinks of the day. There is a drink menu in the FAQ which is very accurate even though it's from a few years ago. Tastings are $15 to $25 most are $15 the wines of the world is (I think) $20 and champagne is $25

Other than fitness classes (some cost but their labelled in the navigator as having an extra cost) I can't think of any other "classes" that have a charge.

Everyone who has sailed on Disney before,

Do we need an umbrella spotter? Is is that hard to find your spot again?

Laura

Hi jgarv! The drink you were asking about is called a BBC (stands for "Bailey's, banana, & coconut). 'Tis yummy!

We have never used one but i looked them up. When you first get to Castaway Cay there is like the "main beach" usually people don't want to walk very far so many people usually stay there. It gets very crowded and people will steal your spot! This happened to my family and its very irritating! :furious: As you can imagine. Also there are just so many chairs and umbrellas they all kind of blur together lol. Soooo...... getting to the point i think one would be very helpful! I know my family and I are getting an umbrella spotter this cruise :thumbsup2

Hope this helps!!!

Also if you do not want to make one Etsy sells some amazing ones for very inexpensive!!!

Happy Sailing,
Alli :sail:

So according to DCL booking of excursions starts on Monday! What's everybody doing? Any highly recommended excursions for newbies? I don't know when we'll cruise again, so I want to make sure it's amazing!

I have stressed about what to do for soooooooooo long...

St. Maartins - Bernards tour
St. Thomas - Skyline and then a relaxing non crowded ship

Hard to believe that this trip is only 10 weeks away. So looking forward to it.

Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

10 more weeks...

It is actually 11 weeks, JJGarv has it as 10 more Fridays after this Friday, so it is 10 more plus today.

We fly down on Friday the 5th so that's when our vacation starts- thus the one less Friday :thumbsup2. We embark 11 weeks from today, or as we like to say- 77 sleeps.

Julie,
Just thought I would give you the heads up that the
Best of St. Thomas Island Tour and Shopping, is already sold out, if that is the excursion you are referring to. Thought I would let you know so you could look at some other options.
And sadly, to everyone out there the Palo Brunches are all sold out. There seems to be a few reservations open for Palo dinners, if you want that, go straight to day 2, or day 4, but remember day 4 is the Pirate Deck Party. Palo has some on Day 5 but that is the St. Thomas Day. There are also openings for both Palo and Remy on the last night, but that is the night you tip your servers and say good bye. We wouldn't miss that night but it is a personal decision.
Other than the Best of St. Thomas Island Tour and Shopping , and a teen adventure on St. Thomas, everything else is open, besides of course the silly cabanas at Castaway Cay.
Happy Planning guys!:thumbsup2

Go onto the DCL website and they have a ton of excursions to choose from. The popular ones are already sold out because previous DCL cruisers have priority on booking excursions. Sometimes people cancel so keep checking to see if there is anything available but if not you can try to book a sold out excursion on embarkation day. There are also private companies that are not DCL that you can book on your own, but be warned if you book an non DCL excursion and it runs late the ship will not wait for you and the ship will leave without you.
