Sailing on 12/6. Lots of questions!

My hubby, 10 mo. old son and I will be taking our first Disney Cruise on 12/6 on the Magic. I still have a few questions about which I am unclear. I thought it would be easier to ask all in one, instead of starting a boatload of new threads. TIA for any answers you can provide.

1. Has anyone had any luck with changing your dinner assignment? My son is 10 months old, and we got stuck with the late seating, which takes place at his bedtime. We are hoping to get this changed when we board. Has anyone done this that can offer any suggestions?
2. Can we purchase bottles of alcohol at on shore destinations and bring them aboard to take back into the US with us? (I am aware of the customs regulations, just not the ship policy).
3. Are there fridges in the rooms? (I keep getting conflicting info about this. Can someone who sailed within the past couple weeks answer? :teeth ).
4. Can babies swim in any pool? (Again, I get conflicting info about this. What is currently allowed?)
5. Are floating devices permitted anywhere?
6. Is there a salon/spa where I can get my baby's haircut on the ship? (We are looking to do something special for his first haircut. We are going to WDW in January, and want to get it done at the Magic Kingdom Barbershop, but might not be able to hold out that long.)

Thanks for reading this long post!

As soon as you get on the ship put in a request to change. It has been known to happen!

Yes you may, DCL will also allow you to bring your own alcohol on board when you board in cape canaveral

They are really "coolers" not techinically fridges but we have never had a problem keeping beverages cold in them

Un-potty trained children are not allowed in the pools for sanitary reasons, I do believe they are allowed in one of the Mickey Ears though. A great idea is to bring a cheep blowup pool and fill it with water for your child, they sell tiny ones.
5. Are floating devices permitted anywhere?Definately at Castaway Cay they are
6. Is there a salon/spa where I can get my baby's haircut on the ship? (We are looking to do something special for his first haircut. They do cut hair, so I bet they would do kid's hair.
Yes, your child will be able to swim in one Mickey ear. He will enjoy this.
I would ask again and again about changing your dinner time because they will probably feel sorry for you. But, if it doesn't work, don't worry, your server will make a bed for your child and they can sleep through dinner.
Have fun!

and I believe the spa and salon are adult areas, so I don't think you can have the babies hair cut....sorry...:(
