Sailing for my son's 7th birthday (SHHH! Its a surprise!)

My son's birthday is a week before our cruise. This trip will be his birthday present from me. Can we expect or do anything special for this birthday? Or will it not count being as his birthday is not while we are actually on the ship? This trip will already be special as it is his first cruise, but any extra advice on how to make it extra special for his birthday?!

My son will be turning 7 on our upcoming cruise too. Im going to decorate the inside with a few decorations. Make a birthday mafnet for the door and im going to buy the mickey cake for singing happy birthday.

Awesome thanks! He is not going to know about the cruise. For his birthday I will tell him we are visiting his aunt in FL, then pack up for the "beach" that day and surprise! Also was thinking about doing small birthday gift bags for each day. (magnets on the first day, pirate gear for another,) This isn't a for sure though. Was also thinking about mentioning in our FE group that its his birthday, Didn't know if that would make a difference, but would be fun for him to think that all these people want to celebrate with him.
