Sail Date Recommendations?

We're in the preliminary stages of planning a land/sea trip, hopefully in 2005. Until now, 2005 seemed like such a long time into the future. Anyway, we're considering May 22 (right after school gets out for the summer) and Thanksgiving week. I'm thinking the crowds at the the parks won't be so bad in May. Also, since the land portion of the trip comes first, we should be finished with the parks before the Thanksgiving holiday crowd hits. Does this seem right? Are there any other date/month suggestions? I'm really trying to avoid having DD miss much school. Our last WDW trip (Sept. 2003) was a blast, but her makeup work was an absolute nightmare. How would the cruise weather be in late November?
Thanks for any help!:boat:

My suggestion, is that u look at booking it , not as a package
try bookng Cruise portion on its own and then the land package
sometimes Disneys packages r not the best deal going . convienant Yes.. but less expensive no.....
Thanksgiving is going to be more expensive than May due to holiday.....

Thanksgiving is high season. You'll pay more for both land stuff and the cruise then.

You really need to price out the land and sea separately and as a package. Which is best depends on what specials Disney may be running, whether you want "UPH" passes or park hopper (will you use the added features of the unlimited?), etc. Sometimes it is better to book them separately, other times the better bargain is to do it as a package.

Just remember that if you do them separately, you need to either do insurance privately (like thru your TA) that will cover the whole trip, or 2 Disney packages, one to cover each part....usually cheaper to go thru TA.

Depending on numbers of people, private limo can be quite a savings over DCL transfers....

I vote for May! We're going in May 2005 (just booked today) and I hear it's one of the best times to go. I agree with the previous posters that Thanksgiving will be much more expensive. Good luck in your decision!

Thanks for the input! When visiting WDW only, we don't buy packages, for the reasons stated. We get a much better deal when we make our arrangements ourselves. It is true we need to do a little of that research for this trip as well. Thanks again!
