Safeway Grocery Delivery..... is it gone?

Ive used this service in the past, and cant seem to find it now.
Is there ANY grocery delivery to the Disney Hotels?
(IF NOT, what is the NEAREST good grocery store?)

I don't think Safeway exists anymore around here, I believe Vons bought them. I think they deliver to Disney area hotels.

Yup, Vons delivers. If you have booze in your order you must be there to sign for it but if not, as long as you've cleared it with the hotel, they can sign for you and will either keep it at the bell services or send it to your room.

It was a little more convoluted than that. Safeway did exchange its Southern California stores with Vons for a 35% ownership stake. Then Safeway exercised an option to buy them out completely in 1997. They're a division of Safeway now, and they use the same advertising motto (Ingredients for Life). I've also seen the Vons name on Safeway gift cards.

It think they're pretty much equivalent to Safeway, but they'd have a hard time eliminating the name since it's an icon in Southern California. Here's their delivery webpage, which is hosted on the Safeway website:

It says you can get free delivery on your first order with the code EASY7. I can't see when that expires though. We won't be there for another 60 days, so I bet that coupon expires by the time I need it. Maybe it'll help someone else though.

I've had booze delivered before and did not need to sign. HOJO even put the beer in the fridge for us.
