Safeway Delivery?

Starting to see rumblings of successful Safeway delivery. Has anyone used the service recently for delivery to their resort hotel? Good experience/bad experience? We'll be at the Contemporary in May and would love to use Safeway if available, seems much less spendy than Garden Grocer.

We used it last week and it was great! Everything was as ordered and I didn't have to be at the hotel to accept the order. The driver called me and I offered to come back but he said he would leave it with Bell Services (I did not order any alcohol though, not even sure they sell/delivery it) . I thought the prices were very reasonable. I also ordered fresh fruit, I was worried they wouldn't pick good apple/bananas etc, but it was all perfect. We will use them again in June when we go! There was also a promo code to use for our first order!

I am looking at using Safeway. I am trying to register with their site but am having issues. Did you use the resort address?? I tried using that and it won't let me.

Note that if you order beer or wine, they will need to take your driver's license. They apparently had an issue with underage kids ordering, so they will need to have you in person to receive. I had our order delivered from 7-8pm on our arrival day. The delivery guy called and brought it right to the room (we were at Epcot as we landed at 9:30am and had been there a few hours, and we were tired so got back to our room by 6pm to start unpacking). We were at All Star Sports.

I would totally use them again. Prices are very good. Service is excellent. Wish I had another trip planned!

Did you have any trouble signing up on their website? It won't take the resorts address. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Really excited to see such a selection and better pricing

I am looking at using Safeway. I am trying to register with their site but am having issues. Did you use the resort address?? I tried using that and it won't let me.

I did use the resort address. We stayed at the Beach Club and used that address. When I registered I used that as my address, not my home. Hope that helps.

Ok. Ya that's what I have tried putting in and it just keeps telling me to check the address. I did send them an email. Which store did you use? I think there are two in the area.

You don't choose a store, just "grocery delivery" tab on the top of the Safeway web site. Then create an account, using the resort address.

What @happymommy said, when entering my address I used business and then entered our resort address. When we used it in March we used the Beach Club address and had no issues. I just changed it to the Poly address and it said 'Address Updated' so hopefully no issues.

You didn't have to create an account? It's prompting me to create a delivery account. It asks for my zip code and then I enter the one for AKL and on the next page is where I am trying to enter the address. I tried using business and residential and it won't let me go any further. Not sure what I am doing wrong

Ok never mind. I just tried it from my phone and it worked. Not sure what the difference is. Yesterday I was using my laptop when I was trying. Thanks for the help!

Off topic DH works for Safeway and I must say since he started working there we get much fresher food and the meat deals are wonderful.

We plan to use Amazon prime but maybe I should look into Safeway for the Nov trip.

I'm going in Sept 2017 I called the Safeway in Altamonte Springs, they said they would deliver at Disney resorts.

They do indeed! I ended up using them for our trip. They brought our groceries right to the Contemporary and called when they got there so that we could show an ID (we had beer in our order). Once we signed, he left the groceries with bell services, who eventually brought them up to our room.

Would totally do it again.

We are planning on using Safeway delivery for our up coming trip as well. We have used GG in the past, but the prices through Safeway are too good not to try them out. GG has always given us fantastic service, but I have to try as we will save quite a bit of money.
