Does anyone know where I can buy "Safety pops" You remember them....the lollypop/sucker that has the rounded stick that the children can hold? I have looked everywhere (we are in upstate NY) anyone seen them around? I would love to have them for my kids (2 year old and a 15 special needs little boy) for the plane ride but I can't seem to locate them anywhere. Thanks in advance.

I got some at Oriental Trading a couple of years ago for halloween. I think Walmart also has a version of them. They shouldn't be too hard to find now that Easter is approaching.

I live in PA, and I cannot find them in
any store - not even Walmart or Target!
I finally found some in 2 of our farmer's markets
that are open year-round on the weekends.
But they only sell them singly.

I forgot about Oriental Trading, I'll have to
check out my next catalog.

They usually have them at Smart and Final if they are in your area.

I bought some last year at the dollar tree but I have not look lately. :wave2:

I too seen them at the dollar tree store the other day.

I get them from Oriental Trading - Right now there is a special - either 5 % or 20% off & free shipping with a $60 order. Check with the budget board for the codes.

If you are worried about the sticks, you could also use ring pops (look like big jewel rings). All of the stores have them.

Here are two types at Oriental trading. If you want religious or Halloween, they have them too. I searched under lollipop and sucker and they did not come up until I did a search for SAFETY.

"I WAS CAUGHT BEING GOOD" SAF-T-POPS
Item Number: IN-/K463
$5.95 per Unit

EASTER SAF-T-POPS (1LB)
Item Number: IN-/K961
$5.95 per Unit

I buy them at the Dollar Tree (as mentioned) for my little ones. Hope you find some near you!!

I checked the Dollar Tree and Dollar General but no suckers. I am going to order some from Oriental Trading Company. Thank you so much for the idea! I wrote somewhere on the boards I did find some GREAT Disney night lights at the Dollar Store while I was looking for the suckers....Pooh, Pooh and firends, Mickey , Mickey and Minnie and Princess'

Chili Center Wegman's had these in their bulk food department. Maybe call your Wegmans and see if they have these in their bulk foods area?

We are in Spencerport!! Wegmans is so close by. I checked the candy shelf but I never even thought to look in bulk!! Thank you for the tip! I think I will wait for it to warn up and then take a trip over there. Thanks again.

I bought them at Eckerd Drug Store. I think they were with the cough drops.

Edited to say: I bought these about a year ago

Yeah, I noticed that so I figured you must have one close by. If you don't want to drag the kids out in the (now) melting snow, just call Weg and ask for the bulk area, I'm sure they will tell you if they carry them or not. I bought some there right before valentine's day.

Gl!

Just wanted to bump this thread up and say that I just found the Saf-T-Pops at the Dollar Tree this morning. They were the swirl kind in Easter colors, but they were on the candy aisle, not with the Easter things. These were really cute and would be great for Easter baskets for toddlers.

I also found Saf-T-Pops at my local Fred's store for $1.49 a bag. I think they're out there, you just have to keep looking.

Thank you so much for all the Safety Pop Sighting. I have not as of yet made it back out to the Dollar Store or Wegmans....Sick kids.....oh well its vacation. Thanks again for all the info!!! It will be a great help for the trip and for DS school as they like the safety pops!

I have seen these in the Smile Makers catalog. I looked on their website www.smilemakers.com and they are under "candy and gum." But they are pretty expensive, $16.95 for a box of 100.

I also saw them at Dollar Tree yesterday. I saw them and thought about the OP looking for them. They were in the front of the store in a very tight little section with the Easter Stuff.
