Safety drill

Our muster drill on the Wish last month was a disaster. My mom had knee surgery a few months ago, so I contacted disability services. They said to show up early and get your card swiped and she could go sit down somewhere. Unfortunately, we were at R in 1923. They didn't open the doors early, there were 40 of us crammed standing in the hallway. And then, a much older woman passed out. So, the family is banging on the door trying to get crew attention. Finally, medical arrives and gets her situated...but it was not well done.

Not DCL's best moment. :headache:

Just back from a Wonder cruise. At the muster drill, they only swiped my husband's card and asked "Is your whole party here?" I couldn't see it very well, but the tablet-thingy she was using appeared to show both our photos on the reservation. When my husband pointed to me and I started to offer my KTTW card, she said she didn't need it.
When we checked in at the last drill, the CM swiped my card and then looked at me and then my husband. There were other people standing by me so the fact that she looked at him rather than someone else near me definitely made me think that she had the photos and was doing a visual check.

Yes, the tablet definitely shows the head shots for everyone in the stateroom being swiped in. I was able to see the display on our most recent cruise.

Yes back to in person but it seemed shorter to me than the pre-covid drills.
I don't know about that. I cruised last month and it was exactly the same as all of the other drills I remember from pre-Covid. Maybe yours seemed faster because fewer people were aboard?

The in person drill we did at the end of December seemed to take an eternity, ugh. Probably the longest in person one we've ever done (ship was pretty darn full as it was a NYE cruise).

Yeah, the one I did last month definitely wasn't fast. I don't remember them ever being fast, though.
