Safe Tours Cozumel

Our family is looking forward to our first Disney Cruise coming up in January. We'll be stopping in Cozumel, and I was looking at some independent tour companies. I found one that I'm interested in, based on TripAdvisor reviews, but am curious if anyone here on DisBoards has used them.

We're considering their 5 hour private island tour. Based on recommendations from all of you I think we would enjoy visiting the ruins, having a delicious local lunch, and then finishing up at the chocolate factory. Thanks in advance for any and all advice or reviews!

We just did the kaokao chocolate factory last week... My kids enjoyed it.. We took a cab from the port and we got our own personal session... It was like a 10 min ride to the place.. It's a small place.. Its an easy and relaxing activity with lots of time to do something else if u choose.

We have used Tours Plaza in Cozumel twice for personal tours and they were very dependable and reliable and customized our day based on what we wanted to do. Our first trip we went to the Chocolate Factory, we didn't do their tour but our driver got us into their shop to sample some chocolate and buy a few things there. We were there maybe 20 mins before going on to the free Casa Mission tequila tour, which was short, and they are basically trying to sell you tequila - but it was interesting enough. We stopped at the San Miguel church and did a drive around the island, stopping at Senor Iguanas on the east side of the island for lunch, which was wonderful, and then a stop for photos at El Mirador. Our driver padded our time some by taking us to look around Mr. Sanchos on they way back, as we had time to spare, but he would have done whatever we would have liked to do. On our second trip, we had some last minute change of plans as two people in our travel party had to cancel a few days before the cruise. Tours Plaza didn't mind at all that we were reducing the size, and easily changed our reservation. We would use them again for sure.
