Is it safe to order your tickets from what looks like the Universal site (or subsidary) and then pick up your tickets at what they describe as an automated machine at the front gate? I want to be sure I actually get real tickets doing this... I am looking at buying the 2 park/5 day pass this way...please advise me on this!

Thanks

i hope it is because i bought 4 5 day passes for our august trip.

Yes it's safe, I also did it.
You enter the 6 digit confirmation number and swipe your credit card and the tickets are printed and fall to the bottom of the machine.

I worried too but it was easy. Be sure to sign them and you may have to countersign when you go through the gates. I only had to once.

Are the tickets paper or plastic (like a charge card)? If they are paper, do they hold up well if they get wet (from rides or rain) for 5 days?

They're paper.
I bring a zip lock sandwich bag and put my money and cards in it.

I had no problems what so ever ordering my tickets on line then picking them up at the kiosk. I would do it again in a heart beat.

I've always ordered our tickets online and collected them at the "Will Collect Machine". Remember if you are doing this to bring the confirmation number and the CC you used when you placed the booking.
