Hello DISers!
My family and I are travelling with friends of ours in February and they are bringing their children to WDW for the first time. My family have visited more times than we can count, and we are SUPER excited to be bringing newbies!! While I know I am a WDW expert, I am definitely not one when it comes to food allergies. My friend’s two children (ages 11 and 9) have life threatening peanut allergies. Their reactions are so severe that any type of cross contamination must be avoided. I was hoping that maybe someone with experience in this area could recommend some “safe” Disney snacks they could get in the parks. We’ve gone out to eat with this family before, and it can be quite an ordeal to try and find out what the kids can have. Sometimes they feel really embarrassed and end up not wanting to get anything so they don’t have to ask. If I could find out ahead of time what might be available for them, maybe we can avoid that kind of situation.
We are familiar with what to do at Disney restaurants, but what about snacks? What is completely peanut free without possible cross contamination?
Thank you in advance for your help!
