I have a FP+ time for the Kilimanjaro Safari on an AK EMH morning at 9:35. My Tusker House ADR is at 10:10. Do you think that will work or should I try to move my safari time up? :confused3

You are really cutting it tight there. And if a giraffe decides to stand on the road for awhile, you will definitely be late. I would change one or the other.

Have you done EMH before? Do you really need FP during EMH? I've never done EMH so I'm not sure, but I saw people using a FP for BTMRR at 10 AM when the line was still basically a walk through. I felt bad for them because to me it seemed like a waste of an already limited number of FP. But like I said, I'm not really familiar with EMH.

The FP return time above is not during EMH, but is on an AM EMH morning. In this case, FP is not a bad idea.

And I will disagree a bit with the other poster regarding changing times. You are cutting it a little close, but there is no chance you will be denied your ADR if you arrive a few minutes late. I'd keep your times and not worry about it.

Unless you were planning on trying to do EE (or something else) at 9 and then rush to KS, I'd suggest just scrapping the FP and hitting KS at rope drop. You typically don't need (or gain) anything from a FP for the first 10-15 mins of KS, and sometimes even later. Both lines are only as long as it takes to walk through the queue. Then if you wrap that up on time, go do the Pagani trail before your reservation. Then just book the FP for something else later, or do KS again a second time. It's one of the few rides thats never the same twice.

Agree. OP won't lose their ADR even if they're late. You may have to wait if the restaurant doesn't have any tables but they will seat you.

You are cutting it close. We got stuck (along with many others) for half an hour while some rhinos blocked the road.

Your FP should allow you in 5 minutes early. I'd be there ready to step in line at 9:30 and not worry about it. Tusher House is right by KS. You're cutting it close but you'll be fine.

I think it's much too close because you never know if something will delay you on the attraction like the aforementioned giraffe. However, a CM who posts on the boards frequently has said that Tusker House is one of the only restaurants that will honor a reservation even if you are late, but policies can change without notice.

I'd guess that you would likely be fine, but I'd prefer a little more leeway myself. I'd move one of them if I could.

All of them will take you if you are a little late, and most will take you after that.

I've shown up 30 minutes+ late to ADR's before and the restaurant has never even blinked about honoring the reservation. I may need to wait a bit but they will seat you.

Here's my 2 cents worth of advice:
* don't change your dining reservation.
* try to re-book your KS FP+ for a time later in the day, perhaps in the afternoon.
* arrive at rope drop and see if you can ride KS in the standby line first thing in the morning. If the lines are long, just bail out and do something else - you still have the FP+ reservation. If the line is quick, enjoy the safari, and then you can opt to either ride KS again using FP+ or change your FP+ reservation to another attraction.
