Has anybody done this with their "Grand Gathering"? It sounds fantastic and I just wanted to get a first hand account of what goes on here.

I Posted a Similar Question Not to Long Ago, and took a while to track down any answers.......
From the replies I Got, It Sounds really Nice !!
Our Group of 10 made our Ressies already for November.....This is What I have been told by some that were there in recent months:
Seems as though we meet at a certain location, we enjoy some street entertainment for a while just for our groups, we are escorted to a special viewing are for the Jammin Jungle Parade, we then return to spot for a tad more entertainment, then our host takes us to the Safari which is suppose to be slower and where we get a nice leisurely Safari tour, followed by a good dinner at Tusker House with music & more entertainment and character interaction like Timon, Pumbaa & Turk, then an animal trainer brings in some smaller animals for the kids to have hands-on interaction with, followed by more entertainment, being the last bunches in the park we are escorted out and busses are waiting for us to take us to our resorts!
Sounds pretty good to us !!
Hope this helps a little ! :beach: :tink: :dogdance: :simba:

Our Grand Gathering Group will be doing this in September!

Will have a full report and pictures too!

We are also doing the International Dinner/Illuminations Dessert Buffet, which I will report on also!

When dealing with the CM's, they say the Safari Experience is great! There is also a review on allears.

I too am interested in the Safari. Can anybody tell me the cost, etc. Also, do you have to be staying at the AK in order to sign up for this? There will be approximately 40 of us there in a little over 40 days- is it too late to book? Any help would be appreciated.

We are doing this in Oct. Where do I find the review on Allears? Thanks!

Call your Grand Gathering Number and they can give you exact prices for this.
We are doing this event because we have the Dining Plan and it counts as 2 Table Service Credits ( just like the other dinner shows, Hoop Dee Doo & Spirit of Aloha, those are 2 TS credits too )

Thanks for the link to that review, it's the best one I've read yet. We also have a Grand group of 8 going in Sept/Oct and have booked the Safari dinner as well as the Illuminations Dinner and Dessert Reception. With the free dining plan, it's making all this possible for us, VERY magical indeed!! I see that a few earlier posters here have also said that they are booked for these events in Sept or Oct.. maybe we'll meet there!
