Well, it was bound to happen. Due to my tough financial situation this year, my surprise trip for this summer has been cancelled (was taking a parishioner and her daughter). My family may also have to postpone our grand gathering for a year, though we're still not sure.
I'm super sad about all of this but know it has to happen. We'll have more fun if we have the money and don't have to worry about how the bills will be paid.
Still stinks a bit though...

but now when I plan I know we will have more money and can do more things.
. Even if the reason is a good one, it does still make you said to have to cancel a WDW trip. We had to cancel ours in May 2010 for financial reasons as well. I was the one who decided to cancel it, but I made my DH make the call. I knew that I would be crying too much for anyone to understand what I was saying. We would have been at WDW for Mother's Day and I had all our ADR's made. I even had CRT for Mother's Day dinner and Le Cellier at prime dinner time. For weeks after, I would pull out the ADR schedule I had made and just cry. Hopefully, you be able to go on your GG as planned. We are planning a trip back for sometime in 2010, most likely November. Even though I would really love to go for my bday in January, a November date would give me longer to save. Other than being at WDW for my bday and my youngest DS's bday the only reason to go in January is to get there sooner. Our last trip to WDW was October 8-13. It's been 4 yrs, 3 mos, 2 weeks, & 1 day since we were there last, but who's counting.
