McLachlan. And I agree, so much. That song brings tears to my eyes nearly every time.

A few others that come to mind are "Still" by Lionel Richie, "Like You" by Evanescence, and "Why Should I Cry For You" by Sting. All of them are are very touching to me.

EDIT: And I just realized that none of them apply to your situation well; they're all about coping with death of a loved one, not breaking up. Maybe I could think of some better ones. :\

That's what I thought of when I saw this thread.

It takes a lot to make me cry, and that music video made me sob.
It's heartbreaking.

And like people were saying above me, When She Loved Me is amazing.

Dance with My Father by Luther Vandross is really sad, too.
Not breakup sad, but good for dealing with a loss.

So Close from Enchanted. I know, if you watched it just in the movie you will disagree but I looked at the lyrics and listened to it without the movie and at some parts it is quite sad.

That happens to me sometimes, too. I realized that sometimes when you actually sing the song outloud you start crying. I was listening to Fall by Clay Walker earlier and when I started singing it I started crying. It's a happy song but it just reminds me of something from the past.
