Some Iraqi's will be unhappy, most will be happy. Some won't need an excuse to cause trouble. Its a clear message however to all Iraqis that it is time to move forward.

I can only imagine what's going through the troops minds right now. They have to be thinking that anything and everything could happen and that they need to be ready to act if it does.

DH had just got off 24 hr duty (at midnight their time), he was exausted but took the time out to email me before bed. I'm sure he didn't get much sleep if they were put on high alert.

Nothing says comfortable sleeping like sleeping in your battle rattle for a couple hours sweating your butt off or something ugly that my Matt says. It's going to be okay, Katie. We are going to get through this.

No way he should be executed---the lunatics over there will martyr him. This is the worse possible thing they could do. I would make him live his remaining days as just a shadow of the man he thinks he was. Sure there are those in his country that will be glad. But executing, will only cause all of the religious zealots and terrorist that still support him to seek revenge in his name. This is the worse possible thing they could do!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. My DH served 3 months over there at the beginning of the war. His unit is going back in May.

I pray for all of them over there.
