Nope. I love the Fall, like winter but I hate summer!!! I know, I know, weird but I do.

I get depressed for about a month after the time change, then I guess my body adjusts to it because I bounce back around the first part of December. :thumbsup2

Today was not as bad as yesterday here.

Yesterday was cloudy and I was miserable.

Today, while colder, the sun is out!!!! Makes me feel much better.

By the beginning of February, I'm counting down first till spring (my middle ds's birthday is the first day of spring!) and from there I count down till the clocks change!

No. We have a lot of sun in Florida...even in the winter!

A cold and dark winter is useless without the snow.

Yes, definately I am affected. I wind up spending the cold days in bed and the dark rainy days are even worse.
I love the summer and can spend all day outside just enjoying the heat. I have to move to FL! Peggie

I didn't think I did until I moved to North Dakota. Now, I sleep a lot more than during the summer, I'm moodier (than usual), and my productivity dumps. There are days where it's so dark and gray that DH and I have nicknamed them "Drano drinking days." I have daydreams of moving someplace warmer and lighter, someplace sunny....like Florida, say the Orlando area.

The only that bothers is me is that it's dark when I wake up in the morning.

As if it wasn't hard to get up for work already.....

Definitely! It's dark when I go to work... it's dark when I come home... it's cold... and there's no prospect for a vacation this year until June. :sad1:

We went to WDW in March 0f 2005 and DW and I went to the Dominican Republic last Feb. Now.... I've got the cold winter, goin' nowhere blues.

I don't like winter but I don't think I have SAD. I think, sometimes I'm more energetic in the winter (inside of course) than I am in summer. Humidity can really slow me down.......but still give me Florida anyday or summer in Michigan!!! :thumbsup2

I selected yes because I DREAD January and all of winter. My body pretty much shuts down. I get so depressed. I don't even really like talking to anyone, even my DH2B.

Same here! I hate January. I'm so miserable. I just want to crawl in bed and hide from the world. Every time I've been diagnosed with depression and had to go on an anti-depressant, it's been January.

Hydster, you mentioned a "go lite." What is it and how does it work? Is it expensive? Is it really worth it?

I live in northeast Ohio, the clouds roll in in October, and might leave by June. Do I have SAD, you bet! Now.... who is willing to take me to Key West to be cured?:confused3

One day of clouds and rain is no problem for me. Even several days - still peachy keen.

But (here in Cleveland, anyway) the sun disappears for months at a time. It'll peak out here and there - just a little, for a few hours - but mostly we have no sun through the winter. And it does get me down. More than once I've considered getting drugs to cheer me up. I just try like hell to avoid putting anything in my bod that I don't absolutely need.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I have the hardest time getting up in the winter. Summer time, no problem!!! I'm up with the sun. Winter time--I'm ready to hibernate.

No--but I live in Florida. I don't think it is common down here. Especially this year as we've had no cold, dark months.

January-April is my least favorite time. I get tired of the gloomy dark days and weather that is too cold.
