Sad... will be cancelling our 1st trip home in June.

Well... the hubby and I decided that we are going to cancel our 1st trip home in June. Granted it's all for a good reason and we will be going in September anyway for a BIG both sides of the family trip, but it's just kinda depressing our 1st trip home won't be just our little family of 4.

The hubby and I just had an offer accepted on purchasing our 1st home!! We are currently under attorney review, but the house needs some updating that we will do before we move in. With this updating that is needed we decided the week off he is taking for our June vacation would be better used for renovating the house later on.

We're totally excited to be moving into our 1st house with our kids, but I'm just a little upset we're not gonna be going in June. If I had to cancel at least it's for a good reason and I've already got another trip planned to be able to use the points for before they expire next year.

But I'm not cancelling until after the inspection is done cause if that goes south I'm going on vacation LMAO.

Well you've got DVC for many years to come and you are going in Sep and your 1st family home will be the start of many new family memories! Good Luck and here's some for even more luck!

Look at it this way, you now have two "homes"!! So, WELCOME HOME! and WELCOME HOME!

You will have lots and lots of years to enjoy your DVC...

Whenever we do a big family trip, we try to add a few days at the beginning or the end that is just for the four of us. I love going with all my family, but I like having time with just my husband and my kids.
