My neighbor who I grew up next to moved in 1990 to Winter Park. So every year when we come "HOME" we would visit him. It was like being "HOME". It was a nice visit last May, we spent the whole day with him and then went to Dinner. He paid for everything. We already had plans to do the same this year. He fell in August and never was the same. We found out that he past away on Tuesday (thankfully his brother was called to come down before he past away). We are still looking forward to coming "HOME" but its not going to be the same. Hopefully going to the "Members Homecoming" will get my mind of this sadness.

Truely sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you are able to enjoy your visit "home".

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Hopefully over time you will be able to smile when thinking of all those special visits with your friend.

Thanks for the pixie dust. It was a bad day today. My mom was taken to the hospital on Tuesday (the same day he died) so she didn't know about it. She came home today and my sis and I had to tell her the news. She didn't take it to well. She was 8 yrs old when he was born and she kept talking about him all day.

So sorry for your loss.

Enjoy your trip in May by remembering all those ggod times you shared.

I too wish to offer my condolenses for the loss of your "brother." Try to remember the good times you shared at WDW. ((hugs))

Sorry for the loss of your good friend. The problem with DVC being "home" is that things will change over time and we'll have to go there with only memories of those who had shared our previous good times.

NJMouse - sorry to hear of your loss !

I, also, went on our trip last month with a huge hole in my heart from a tragic family loss - even I was skeptical that the Magic could help me, but it ended up being a trip full of healing - (even had my first few days with no tears) - moments of laughter, magic and fun - hope your trip will warm your heart (sometimes through the tears)!:sunny:

:(

Terribly sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing a good friend like that. Good thoughts and prayers sent your way.

Hope that all magic of "home" isn't gone for you.
Lucy
