Sad that AAA diamond parking is going away...parking lot tips please!

I figured that I should get back to this now that our trip is over. We survived just fine without Diamond parking, it was a longer walk...but not that bad at all.

We only had one time that they allowed me to park myself and that was a late arrival (7-8 when park closed at 11). Otherwise we were directed where to park, but nothing was so far that we felt it was a horrible walk. My wife took the tram once at DHS and us walkers beat the "trammers" by at least 10 minutes...just bad timing I guess.

Glad it went well. The walking really isn't too bad. We often best the tram or at least aren't too far behind it.

At TTC there is a taxi area where you can do family drop offs and then drive back around to the parking lot entrance to park. EC & AK you can walk easily from the parking lot. DHS also has a drop off area just ask the attendant at the security booth.

I guess I will never understand the problem that people have with the trams. To me they are as much a part of the entertainment as the any other attraction in the parks and as important to my enjoyment and start of the day then anything else, especially at MK.

I would agree, unless I'm trying to unpack stuff on the bottom of a double stroller so I can fold it up and drag it onto and off of the tram while the little doors want to close on it. Plus they take up a lot of space on the trams that could be used by other people.
