Just received a call from my neice that my cousin passed away at 2 o'clock this afternoon.. Her mom was too upset to talk right now.. That was her only sibling..

It didn't come as a surprise.. I mentioned in another post not too long ago that she was riddled with cancer and was under the care of Hospice.. I'm glad her suffering is over.. She's had a life-long battle with family tragedies.. Now she's going "home" - to be with her loved ones that she lost much too soon..

If you could spare a thought or prayer for my surviving cousin - I think she's really going to need it.. She's devastated..:sad1:

While I will definitely miss my cousin (we were all more like siblings growing up), I truly believe that she will be in a much happier place now..

Praying for your family, C.Ann. I'm sorry.

I'm really far more concerned with my surviving cousin - her sister..

I was able to make my peace with this as soon as I knew how seriously ill she was.. She's happy now - and she's no longer in pain.. I don't think I could ask for anything more..

Thank you for your thoughts though..

prayers being said for the family and friends..may you all have happy memories of her to bring peace to your hearts

Sorry for your family's loss. Your cousin is in my prayers.

So sorry for you loss C.Ann and send prayers for you, your cousin and families. May all the wonderful memories help bring comfort, hope, and peace, at this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I will be thinking and praying for the remaining sibling.

So sorry for your loss C. Ann and my thoughts go out to your other cousin.:grouphug:

may the comfort and memories bring you joy, I am so sorry to learn of your cousin's death, I will keep you and your family in prayer:hug:

So sorry Ann C. my thoughts and prayers are being sent you to and your cousin and her family. Your right she is at peace and not in any pain anymore.

I understand what you mean about cousins being more like siblings. I am probably closer to some of my cousins (my age bracket) than I am my own sister (12 years younger).

I too lost a cousin after a series of life-long problems. Most were the result of her own decisions - but none the less it was a troubled life. She has to be in a better place.

But I do feel for her surviving sister. She is the kindest, sweetest, most "normal" person ever. I don't know how she turned out this well. Her siblings have had such troubled lives.

I can't imagine losing my sister (or even my brother who I don't particularly like :)). Prayers for your surviving cousin.
