Sad news :(

I posted the other day about the automatic focus not working in my Canon Rebel camera. Today I took it to the store, and it's not the lens that's broke, it's the camera. It will be too expensive to fix.

My other options are to replace the body only with a used one (the new ones are also over my budget) or to buy a used Canon with a better lens. I have the older Rebel model currently, does anyone have a rercommendation for Canon cameras? My camera was an expensive gift from my hubby years ago, and I feel so bad about this

Do you know about the Canon Loyalty Program? Basically, you contact them and return a broken Canon camera for a discounted model. You have to phone in. The number is 1-866-443-8002. I think they are refurbs.

Refurbs with 90 day warrantees, but last time I checked, a XS with kit lens was like $330.

if you buy used, or refurb, you might want to check into a square trade warranty
