Sorry to hear about your Grandfather Claire :sad1:

What a great age to get too

My Grandfather would have been 100 this year and would most likely have lived that long if my Gran hadn't died - as is quite often the case, he lost the will to live and died within two months of her. He made it to 94, though, and lived a fulfilling life. He adored his family and he and my Gran were such an important part of my life. I still miss them both. I know your Granddad was very special to you, too, Claire and that your pain won't be any less for knowing that he had such a marvellous innings. Hugs to you, and I hope you enjoy your break.

sorry to hear that

Thank you for eveyone's kind words. I will miss my Grandad very much, he was very special. My Grandma died at age 51 when my Dad was just 14 so he has been on his own a long time. He still lived in his own house which he'd lived in for 63 years. He ran half marathons is his 70's, rode his bike and worked till he was 90 even though he only had one eye. He died very quickly with my Dad and cousin at his side which was what he would have wanted.

Sorry to hear this Claire and also sorry to have missed this thread earlier:hug::hug::hug:
