Sad news--skateboard icon dies from insect bite

He had a remarkable life, only to die of an insect bite. I guess none of us knows how much times we have.

I can't read the article without being a registered member of the NYtimes. What kind of insect bite killed him?

I didn't read the article but that's sad.
It's like the young model who died earlier this year of a UTI.
It's scary and sad but I guess it does make us realize how short life is.

The skateboarding community remains in mourning and stunned by the bizarre manner in which Andy Kessler died earlier this week.
Kessler, a pioneering figure and advocate for skateboarding in New York City since the 1970s and a skate park designer, died Monday after suffering cardiac arrest following an allergic reaction to a wasp sting. He was 49.
