Kevin I was wondering if you posted the photo of the sad little Lobster Roll you got at Food and Wine? I looked in the show notes but did not find it. If it's not posted no problem. Were are doing Food and Wine and we don't have no such thing as a Lobster Roll out here so when we come to Florida I could just live on them. So I thought taking a look at the photo you took would help me fight the temptation at Food and Wine and save me some money! :lmao:

Not Kevin, but here is a picture of both the crab cake and lobster roll that I took about two weeks ago. It did not look very appealing - just kind of a lumb plopped on the bun, it did have more lobster meat than the one I had last year.

Pathetic or not, that makes me hungry!

Thank you so much for posting that Robind, I appreciate it. I see what Kevin means when he said it was over priced for what you are getting. I hope the crab cake wasn't $7 dollars as well. Robind, do you know..or anyone else reading this where you get these cards that they load up for the Food and Wine? Can you get them at any kiosk? Thanks Again!

didn't get the lobster roll but I did get the crab cake...very tasty and no, it wasn't $7 dollars...I want to say it was closer to $5

When I heard Kevin mention the sad little lobster roll...it made me think of the "sad little crab cake"

Maybe the Coral Reef Restaurant made the lobster roll as well?? :rotfl2:

Kevin...you want a lobster roll...you come to New England and I will bring you for a good one!! I'll even buy!! :goodvibes

The crab cake was pretty good and the relish was really zippy. I think it was $4.50 ish. :thumbsup2

I agree, the crab cake was pretty good. I picked up my gift card at the shop they festival kiosk, right at the entrance to world showcase. They were selling them in other locations as well. I was able to reload mine at one of the food kiosks, but some of them would not/ could not reload them, seemed to be kind of random,

Can you put any amount you want on the cards? I guess you wouldn't want to put too much so your not stuck with money left on your card in the end.

Yeah, but its just like a regular gift card. You don't have to use it all at F&W. You can buy pretty much anything with it, pretty much anywhere on property and beyond, and it doesn't expire.:thumbsup2

Disney Gift Cards can be used online at DisneyStore.com, Disney Store locations in the U.S, participating locations at Walt Disney World® Resort, Disneyland® Resort and Disney Cruise Line®

Oh that's okay then I thought you were only able to use it at Food and Wine. Thank you for the info!

I like (ok, love!) a good lobster roll, as long as it is appropriately priced. Last month I paid $15.00. It had the equivalent of over a full lobster and was very good. The one from McDonald's isn't bad for the price they charge. The one pictured here looks like a $3.00 lobster roll.

The one pictured here is $7.00!! I agree with Kevin, it is way overpriced!!

I saw that once while traveling up north, but didn't have the nerve to try them.

I know the words Mc Donalds and Lobster in the same sentence worries me a little... :confused3

I probably wouldn't have bought that sad lobster at F&W. It's not worth it for the amount. I can get a full sandwich for that price even at disney.:thumbsup2

MickeyD's has a lobster roll. :cool2: That must be up north. I've never seen one in this state at that restaurant.

Maybe the McDonald's lobster roll was only in Maine or New England states. Only in the summer and I am not sure they have had it recently. But it wasn't bad for what it was.

Really, it is hard to make a bad lobster roll. Don't overcook the lobster, add only a very little mayo, put on roll with a lettuce leaf. That's it. Well, that's my recipe for it!
