I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Please remember that a funeral is a celebration of someones life, so I hope that you find the strength between you all to smile between your tears, whilst you remember the good times you all shared together. x

Yesterday was the 22 year anniversary of my dad's death and I took my girls to chessington as thats where he used to take me when I was little. It's this sort of thing that will give you comfort in the future

Thank you to everyone for their kind wishes.

Today went very well. I managed to get through the poem, although my voice was rather shaky. The service was very touching and personal, and the minister spoke very warmly of my Dad. I managed to keep it together until they played The Old Rugged Cross for the committal as this was my Dad's personal favourite.

I did feel that it was a celebration of my Dad's life and it was comforting to hear people speak about him and share their stories about him.
