Sad Day for me

My daddy parakeet that fathered 9 babies died unexpectedly today

Not sure what happened. He wasn't an old bird. He had a red spot on his back where his feathers were missing that wasn't there yesterday.

I held him in my hands for a long time before I put him in a separate cage where he died a few minutes later.

Makes for a sad Mothers day especially when all I can have right now are animals as children

Im sorry.. we had a parakeet for a long time... I named him Benjamn but the kids always called him Birdus...

He died unexpectedly and everyone still misses him and his antics.
