Most of you are aware by now that my pug had babies. She had 7 in total. We lost one right after she was born because she was born outside in the cold and we didnt know about it because we didnt know she was in labor.

Well one of the other puppies, born on 11-11..was not eating as much this past week. We started bottle feeding her yesterday. I woke up to her crying this morning, she was very cold and off the heating pad. I placed her back on it, but she continued to cry. I ppicked up her up, and noticed her labored breathing. She died shortly after.

I am heartbroken. The vet said there would have been nothing we could have done, she may just not have been as developed. It was the hardest thing I have gone through in a while. My DH is also upset, we were crying to each other over the phone.

So some pixie dust and hugs to me, and the 5 remaining babies.

Some good news in all of this..Miracle(the last puppy found, who is the smallest now, and we are keeping) is doing great. She eats like a little piggy..LOL...The other 3 females are also growing each day...way to fast..:)...And the male...the rolly polly who we are also keeping and has not yet been named..(He-who-must-not-be-named! :) )is also doing great. They are beginning to "walk" a little better and some have opened there eyes too:hyper:

That was heartbreaking to read. I am so sorry Dax.

PD and big {{{hugs}}} to you and your babies.

Oh, Dax, I'm so sorry for the loss of one of those precious babies. I'm sure you've taken such good care of those puppies, and as the vet said, you couldn't have done anymore. I know that's not much comfort to you now, but I'll be keeping you in my thoughts. Many good wishes going out to you...

Dax, how sad! :( I'm sure you did a good job taking care of those precious babies. for you!

How comforting, though, that the poor little one passed in your loving hands, instead of alone.

If there is a bright side to this, it is that Zelda was able to whelp her babies successfully. I know that it is hard for puggies to give birth. For that I am happy. You have to be feeling awful for the two puppies that were lost. For that I am sad.

When you're up to it, please post pictures of those beautiful babies. What colors are the survivors?

Sorry to hear about the two that didn't make it, but enjoy the ones that did...I'll bet they're adorable!! I LOVE pugs, and if I were to ever have an "indoor" dog that breed would be the one I'd choose, they're just so cute!!!

DAX, I'm sorry you lost a couple of puppies. How painful for you :(

So happy to hear that the other pups are thriving!

So sorry to hear about the one pup :( I am just glad to hear that the rest are doing good :)

Sorry to hear about the two pups you lost, Dax, but good to hear the others are coming along oaky. Good news too.
