Which is easier to get in and out of as far as airports go? Sacramento would be closer to our final destination {Reno/Incline Village Lake Tahoe} but don't want to deal with a traffic nightmare.

Sacramento, no doubt. SFO can be a nightmare even if you are just going to San Francisco, much less adding a couple of hours to your drive. We always fly into San Jose or Oakland if we are going to the Bay Area. Have you thought about flying into Reno?

sacto hands down-plus it will get you much closer to your final destination.

Sacramento! It's actually not a bad airport...smaller than SF. It doesn't have as many flights to SF, but as long as your departure airport goes to Sacramento then that's the better choice. However, it's not worth taking the short commuter hop from SF to Sacramento if your airport doesn't fly into Sacramento.

Sac...no doubt about it. Anything Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, etc) is a traffic nightmare! Sac can have its moments, but not insane. Where in Reno/Tahoe are you headed. South Lake you want to take Hwy 50 to, Reno and North Lake (Truckee, Tahoe City) take Hwy 80. Have you considered flying into Reno...beyond easy. Depending on where you are heading it will probably be worth the little extra you might play to fly there. Alot closer to Tahoe.

I'm from Reno area by the way and lived in Tahoe for EVER. Graduated high school, married, and had my two kids up there. Any questions let me know!
