SAB Refurb and Presidents Day Trip

I know refurbishment is schedule to be complete at the end of Presidents day week. I am sure lot of people will be there as that is Feb vacation so you would think they would want to finish early! Anyone just back from BC, BCV, YC with the scoop on progress. I have my fingers crossed.

We got back on the 29th, and the slide and the area that the slide empties into was fenced off. Only the "lazy river" and the sandy bottom area was open.

Came home last night, stiil the same, no slide. They did say that guests can use the pool and slide at Boardwalk. Everyone gets their own room card with their name on it. Just take that with you to the Boardwalk pool. The pools are still open at SAB, the lifeguards were sitting there freezing their bottoms off this weekend. There are also regular pools at the ends of each hotel for your use, just no slide

Thanks for the info. You mentioned the slide was still closed but the pools were open. Could you please let me know, was the pool area where the slide feeds/lands into open or was that still closed too?

That pool was closed except for some ducks. They were actually digging out the sand to work on it.

does anyone know when the refurbishment suppose to be complete? I am suppose to be there March13-18 (for spring break) and my family is a bunch of swimmers (my kids are year around lifeguards) and i am hoping the pool will be open in time- it's the reason I picked BW

It is scheduled for completion on Feb 25th. I was just hoping they would finish a week early as I will be there on the 20th.
