I remember in May, SAB closed at 8PM. Is it opened until a later time in June? We'll be there June 10th, if that makes a difference.

Bobbi :)

I would also like to know! We will be there June 2-9. It would be great if it stayed open later. What about the hours for Hurrican Hannahs - Does this snack bar close early? :confused3

Pool closing times during those months are somewhat contingent upon what the county health department has to say. If they send out a broadcast warning that mosquitos are particularly thick, then the pools will close early.

I've seen them open as late as 10:00 pm when there were no DOH advisories.

Hannah's? Varies. Usually around 7:00 but may be earlier or later.

That is the time we travel every year, last year the SAB was open until nine, I think. The year before it was 10, because I remember swimming with the kids and being able to see the the firworks from Illuminations over in EPCOT.
As far as Hurricane Hana's, that is our one mild complaint af SAB, the hours are really dependent on capacity...they aren't set in other words, it varies daily.
Hope you have fun!!!

Im not sure SAB hours are contingent on mosquitos. It is more contingent on staffing. It takes quite a few lifeguards to man SAB and even in the summer, their weekday hours are shorter than their weekend hours.

We were there last June for 2 weeks and you can expect 7-9 pm during the week and 9-10pm on the weekends.

June 10 is the day before peak season starts, so you can expect to have the latest hours possible for SAB.

Even on Memorial Day weekend, we were surprised at how early SAB closed. I mentioned it to the manager at the Friday breakfast meeting, and he said it was due to staffing. They have to be even more diligent at night and cant cut staff. They also have to rotate staff. We like our late night swims after the parks and both SAB and Dunes Cove close relatively early.

Dunes Cove turns the lights out at 11pm. Ive seen people swim after hours, but dont allow my boys to swim if I cant see the bottom of the pool at night. Plus its disturbing to the guests.

We worked around the hours and really enjoyed SAB, but i do wish it stayed open later during the week. :wizard:
