S.S. Member Cruise 2007

I noticed the information for the Member Cruise for 2007 is posted now on the DVC website. Apparently there is a new selection process for those who have never been on a Member Cruise. My question is how much is it if you don't use points? They have the points chart for that available. Do you have to use points? Can you split and use points for one person and pay cash for the other -or- can you pay cash for the whole thing (and how much is it)? Just curious since we've never been on one before. Thanks!

In years past you could split cash and points. No cash prices for 2007 yet.
2006 it was approx $1000 and 129 points for a Cat 11.

that was for 2 people in a cat 11 ( again I'm not %100 on the cash amount)

The point amounts seemed to have gone up anywhere from 6 to 9 points per category.

I posted a booking question on the cruise board that I'm curious about...

I was told that in order to get the "dvc goodies" I would have to use points... is this true and if so, can I only use a few points and pay the rest in cash in order to get the "goodies"?

I was hoping to pay with cash only if I'm one of the lucky ones to get booked on the 2007 DVC cruise.

For the 2006 cruise, we paid all cash and we received all of the goodies everyone else did. So, unless they change it for 2007 you should be able to pay all cash with no worries! HTH

I put in my reservation request for the 2007 cruise. I hope that I get picked... that would be the perfect beginning to our trip this December. It wouldn't get any better than to make my cruise reservations on December 2nd then leave for SSR on December 3rd for my first trip home!!!

I sure hope they put the cash chart up soon. I mean really, depending on who you are (previous cruise or new) there is a little over a month or less than a month for booking.

Guess I will be calling MS tomorrow to find out.

I'm surprised a cash shart isn't available yet either. I believe both points and cash were posted at the same time last year. I guess we'll all just have to stay tuned.

Why si the member cruise so popular? Is it less than a regular cruise?

It is actually a bit more than a regular cruise. There are special gifts/guests given on the member cruise.
