I am in the process of "bargain hunting" for WDW passes, but have a couple of questions that I thought could possibly be answered here.
What happens if you purchase the passes in advance and have to cancel the trip? Do the passes remain valid? Is there any expiration date?
I am thinking of purchasing the Ultimate Park Hopper passes, will these also remain valid if a trip is postponed or cancelled?

Where can I get the best prices on passes? I checked out www.paramountinternationaltravel.com. on the advice of another Dis'er Their pass prices are better than Disney's advance with DC discount, and include a breakfast. I do have questions regarding any restrictions that may be applied. Plan to call them on Monday.
We may include a two day visit to US/IOA also. Again, any advice on the best priced passes would be appreciated. I have read on these boards that Sam's Club and AAA have some good deals even better than Paramount.
Sorry for the length of the post.

If you purchase a PH or PHP pass, it will not expire, even if you purchase it in advance.

Since you can only purchase UPH passes in advance as part of a room/pass package, if you cancel the package, the pass purchase will be cancelled also. There may be a $$ penalty imposed if you cancel outside of the deadlines. Be sure to ask what those are before you agree to purchase the package.

Ticket prices seem to vary so it is a good idea to check several sources before you make your choice. There are several on line brokers that have good reports from DIS posters. The choice is up to you.

I have personally purchased WDW PHP tickets from Paramount and Cypress Gardens tickets from Ticketmania. I would not hesitate to purchase from either again if they have the best price at the time I am ready to buy.

Good luck!

Certain passes will have restrictions. Our 10 day World Pass from Paramountinternational had to have the first useage by ?5/03 or something like that. Otherwise, I'd go back and buy again for our 7/2004 trip right now.

CarolMN- Thanks for the info regarding UPH. I did not realize you could only purchase them in advance as a package. As we have already booked a room, DTD resort, I would have to purchase when we arrived.
We are definately leaning towards 6 day PHP and 2 day pass for US/IOA. We have never been to US/IOA.
I was worried that we would feel rushed if we tried to do both. I think it will be OK considering we will be visiting during a very slow season.

jgates- Thanks for the positive comments regarding the 10 day world pass from Paramount. The site does not mention exactly what the restrictions were. I was concerned that US citiizens were not able to purchase this pass because it stated that it was restricted to certain international areas (or something along those lines). I will have to do the math because this still may give us the "bigger bang for our buck" because it allows unlimited admission to DQ and PI vs the 6 day PHP with 3 flex features. The PHP does not include any admission to DQ. I know our 18 year old son is definately going to want to spend some time there as well as a few evenings in PI since the parks close so early during January.
