S/P/D Way More Expensive Than Last Year

In 2013 we paid around $3800 for 10 nights POR for two (room) adults and three kids ages 16, 14 and 11. Went to book the same dates this morning and the quote was $4735. That's a huge increase over last year!

Are you booking at a different time this year (ie prime time vs. a value time?) Were your ticket options the same? I find when you price it out online they automatically add in the highest number of days for tickets and the hoppers and WPF&M options - you have to take those off if you don't want them.

Wow - that is a big jump! I didn't think the room rates increased that much - they must've put the kids dining plan up as well. That's $90/nt difference.

I'm pricing out packages for my friends who are planning on staying onsite first time ever. Thinking room only and UT tickets are gonna work out better for them ....

Last night when it came live, I could access the SPD link for a while before the RO link, so I played around with it to get a quote. Once I could access the RO link, I made my reservation that way.

Same room, same tickets, same dining plan was $7956 for SPD and $7103 for RO. Over $800 more for the exact same thing!! Look at a RO discount and you might be able to save more.

Yeah, I think ours is more from last year as well. Trying to price two different stays (we are going from January 20 to February 6) is becoming exhausting because of the length of stay (we only stayed 14 last year).

Also, when I visited the website...

If only there was free dining until December 2014 available now, lol.
I wonder if you phone Disney and tell them this if they will give you free Dining.

Well I called to see if I could get any better pricing and low and behold I had a FD PIN I actually got 11 nights at POR with 8 day ticket and FREE DINING for $4179 that's a $556 savings with an extra night

Wow - that is crazy... our trip next year is just $200 more than in 2013 (S/P/D deal also) and we added an extra day (we did move it one week out though so maybe that is why).

There went my Target bought Disney Gift Card savings!!! AND THEN SOME!

All is not bad though...Got the Disney Visa R/O discount off the BC portion at least!

Now...If ALAMO or BUDGET or...will get onboard with a decent rate!!!....
