I changed my room from AOA to Movies because of discounts. Well when I
switched the CM kept trying to get me to do dining plan add on. so that got me thinking the discount will be either S/p/d or Should we hope Free Dining. waiting not so patiently on discounts to come out Btw This is for January for me going 19th -25th

Next wave should come out around October.

Not sure but I thought all-star movie's very rarely sees fd discounts because of its popularity compared to the other value resort's.

The Little Mermaid rooms at AoA have been excluded from all discounts for a couple years now. But other resorts get excluded, too. Our daughter had booked AS Movies, but when it was excluded from the early summer discount, she switched to ASMu. POR and POFG were excluded from 2014 free dining. You never know what will be excluded until Disney releases the offers.

Last year when we went, or maybe it was the year ago, and I was on the disboards every day waiting to hear info about discounts, there was one poster in particular who seemed to have quite a bit of inside information. I'm curious if anyone might know who that is, or know of he/she has posted any information about winter discounts. I do recognize some of you posters as "regulars" so maybe you know who I'm talking about. Just hoping for some more specific information other than "October" and this person really seemed to know a lot.

How does it work if you are already booked into a hotel, then a deal comes out, and you decide to switch resorts to take better advantage of the deal? We are booked at AofA and now I'm worried about seeing someones comment about not having many discounts there at all, especially if there will be something announced in October! Just want to make it budget savvy enough to help my mom out.

Thanks for the info. It's sad that he was driven away. I personally would never hold something like this against anyone. I know it's all rumors and speculation, but it sure was nice to have just a little heads up as to when he thought the discounts would come out. I try to be as nice as possible and it's unfortunate when I see people hide behind a screen name and be nasty to someone over the most innocent question/comment. Guess I'll be waiting with everyone else. Starting October 1 I'll be stalking the disboards at least once early morning and then again in the afternoon. Sadly work can interfere, but sure don't want to miss out. I have a Disney VISA, but I have NEVER gotten an e-mail from Chase with the early notification.

me too on the Disney Visa and I would have to make arrangments in advance to come in a late to work on a day the DVisa discounts are released so I can call and wait to get the discount. I never get the e-mails until closer to dinner time from Chase. we want stay at Pop next trip so maybe not so important to get that advance booking window; always seems to be plenty of discounted room there

Watch for discounts and have an open mind, be willing to change resorts to get discount. Thats all. The key is watch for discounts
