A question for past December cruisers.... how is the weather in early December? We are thinking about booking another Disney cruise for 2003... Will the Magic be decorated for the holidays after Thanksgiving? I think it would be really wonderful to be on the Magic during this time.....

We went the first week of December last year and yes, it was decorated and the weather was great!

We went on the 11/25/01 eastern and the weather was perfect. The Magic was decorated to the hilt complete christmas trees and holiday music in the lobby. During the week we watched in amazement as they chef built a lifesize gingerbread house - the smell was great too! We had lots of character photos taken as the characters were in their holiday attire - we even used one on our annual holiday greeting card. You'll have a great time!!!

We went in early December and loved it. The ship was decorated beautifully, and they even had holiday entertainment, (choir, Mrs. Santa Claus, etc.) The weather was great at our ports, a little rain in St. Marteen, not much though. When we arrived at Castaway Cay it was a little chilly, but nothing that throwing a sweater around your shoulders till you warm up, couldn't solve. I was glad that we didn't rent the rafts ahead of time, since most people thought, including myself, that it was too cold to go out in the water any further than waist deep. As you know though, there is not a lack of things to do on Castaway Cay!

I can't think of a better way to kick off the holidays!! Have a blast!!

We went 12/14/01 and the weather was amazing and the ship is beyond gorgeous! The Christmas trees, and the characters are all decked out, and the little tree at the very top of the ship was my favorite! Look for it, it's very cute!
It was an great time from beginning to end. I had previously been on the Wonder for my honeymoon in Sept 2001 and we didn't get to do Castaway Cay because of a tropical depression that was going through the area. In December when we were there it was a bit chilly in the am, but it got very warm and not a cloud in the sky. The water was definately a bit chilly, but we had to just keep thinking that Omaha was under a foot of snow, and then the water didn't look so bad.... =)
Have a wonderful time and enjoy every minute!
