I'm wondering where would be better to stay for the second half of our vacation and may want to do a suite. I would like to stay at the Contemporary for 4 nights and finish up ? for 6 more nights. I'm interested in a 1 BR villa at the BCR or a 1BR villa at the BWI. Anyone know which is nicer and if they have a w/d in the room. Also, I'm unable to find rates for a Jr. suite at the Swan/Dolphin. I also heard that there is a suite offered at the POR. I couldn't find a rate on this either. How is the 1BR villa at the WL? I know these are alot of ?'s but I'm a planner and want to have more than one plan if some of these rooms are not available. I'm planning already for next July. Thanks in advance.

The 1 BR at the BCV, BWV and VWL are essentially the same. The differences lie in decor and location. In each there is a king bed in the bedroom and a foldout sleeper in the living room. The sleepers in the BCV are a new design and much more comfortable than a traditional sleep sofa. I'm not sure if VWL or BWV have changed to the new style yet.

There is a washer/dryer in all 1BR and 2BR villas.

Sorry can't help about POR or S/D.

Also the 1BR villas have a jetted tub abd seperate shower in the bathroom, a DVD player in the LR and a smaller TV (no DVD) in the bedroom. There is a full kitchen.

The junior suites at the moderates (I know CSR has them and I think the other moderates have them too) do not have seperate bedrooms just a sitting area that is partially divided.

Each of the DVC's has its own themimg, but the units at BCV and BWV are identical in size and furnishings, the only difference is the decor, ditto the VWL. Tha main advantage to being at BCV is you can use Sormalong Bay, at the BW you have the BW night life at your back door and at the VWL you have a short boat ride to the MK and the amazing WL lobby....so pick whatever appeals most to you or the location you prefer.

The sleep sofa in BWV is also the new type, easy to open and close. IIRC, the ones in VWL and SSR are also. BWV is the only one "inside" the hotel building. BCV and VWL are slightly apart, with a covered walkway to the main building. These four are essentially similar in set-up; only the decor and location is different.

Currently, the only one (so far) that is different is OKW. The 1-br villas are noticeably larger.

:goodvibes

Boradwalk views are OUTSTANDING at BWV.

Bingo - many timeshare experts says the are the best in the entire time-share world.

I'd also add that unlike BCV, BWV and BWI were designed from the ground up as a combined hotel/time share facility. Therefore, both areas got their share of the great lake/Epcot view. BCV was "appended" onto the already existing Beach Club, hotel, so it had to be stuck in back of the resort and has no views of the pool or lake -- and consequently offers some of closest villas to roads of any DVC resort; in fact, if they were any closer, cars would be driving through the bedrooms!

In your opinion, which is the nicer/bigger of all the 1 br suites. Which would you choose? I want to get the most for my money. Thanks!

Old Key West has MUCH larger 1 BR's they are only about 40 sq ft smaller than the 2 bedrooms at BCV, BW and VWL. SSR has units that are bigger than those but smaller than OKW.
Personally OKW is one of my favorite places on earth...however if you want to feel like you are in a big hotel or want to be able to walk to Epcot and/or MGM then BCV or BW might be a better fit. They are all very nice. OKW is very relaxed and resorty and you can park by your door, The others are more hotel like and have valet parking, room service, etc.

The units at BW and BCV are identical in size and layout as said before. Just pick your location or theming and go for it.

okw has the biggest. that is also reasonable priced.

the nicest that depends upon you. what do you like?

bcv has access to SALB - that is enough for lots of people. It is also closer to Epcot.

BWV has BW view, stand view and just preferred views. the best I think you can get is the preferred view. to get the BW view you need to go through a DVC member.

CSR is the only moderate that has suites to my knowledge. that is because it is only the moderate that is also a convention hotel.
