For me, it was RISC OS - the system that Acorn Computers ran back in the day. You can still run it now on Raspberry Pi computers - it costs £20 odd, and is perfectly functional. Just not current.
My FAVOURITE CURRENT operating system is Ubuntu Linux. Free, very pretty, very fast, flexible and well developed, it's fantastic.
Mac is my go-to operating system as it just works.
