S.O.S....Starbuck's or SCREAM!!! PLEASE tell me WDW has better Coffee now

I posted this on another thread, so sorry for the repeat!
Is the Starbucks in SOG a real starbucks? Do they do lattes and stuff? I have a latte every morning (have my own machine) and would love to be able to get them while at Disney too. We will be staying at the Poly for part of our trip so I was thinking I could do my morning run down to SOG (have military ID) grab a latte and walk back up to the Poly (I know that sounds ridiculous...you can laugh...I would too!)
Does the Kona place do latte's and stuff? (that would be sweet as it will be much nicer to do coffee first, than run!!)
I thought I saw that there was a place in AK that did too?
Thanks!!!

Last time I was at SOG the Starbucks was right there by the store.... they did do lattes and had some yummy pastries as well.... you would go in past the registration desk to the right... do down the ramp and you'll run right into it!!!

No it doesnt, there is lousy Nescrape coffee everywhere you turn....DH drinks it but I miss my Starbucks lattes....

The coffee stands in Epcot and AK are not that bad though

Awesome!!! Thank you!

Nearest Starbucks store (there are 2) is 5 miles from the Boardwalk Resort. There is one in the Mariott 2.7 miles from Boardwalk but that would take longer than driving thru a store 5 miles away.

Thanks! DH & I couldn't remember what outlet mall we went to last summer, but they had a Starbuck's. Not sure if it was Premier??? (It was super nice & had the actual WDW outlet stores.) Anyway, it took a while to get there & would be really inconvenient for your 1st cup of coffee for the day!!! But man, were we excited to see that green & white logo!!! We each usually order grande, but we ordered venti that day (& contemplated drinking a 2nd one just b/c we could've!!!!!!) :rotfl2:

Yummm! Starbuck's at the Dolphin & Swan???? I NEVER knew this! Please, oh please, let this be true! :dance3: We've never been there but I will certainly be checking it out on my next trip. :

The Dolphin BREWS Starbucks coffee. They are not a full-service Starbucks.

Does Kona Island have really wierd hours? We eat at O'hana's for b/fast AND dinner every trip. It seems like everytime we are there Kona Island is closed.?.?... :thanks:

Yes, they have crazy hours. If your having breakfast at Ohanas you can order coffee from the Cafe.

Hey all! Starbucks has new instant coffee! It comes in small packages and is available in two different flavors. Check it out here.

Edited to say I haven't actually tried it yet but am considering buying some for my trip in less than two weeks.

Thanks for the heads up. Haven't seen this yet in my Starbucks. I was going to bring 8 o'clock Instant Coffee Bags (similar to tea bags). I've heard on the Podcast that 8 o'clock coffee is pretty good. I'm going to have to experiment before our trip.

Thanks. I didn't know Swan & Dolphin had Starbucks coffee. I just assumed we would have to head over to Shades of Green before hitting any of the parks. Well, let me rephase that...DH would have to hit SOG before we hit the parks...lol. :lovestruc

Regarding SOG, you have to have military ID to get on property. They won't allow general guests to hop over there for a cup of coffee. It's no longer owned by Disney, it's a goverment-owned resort.

I know I've asked this on a few threads before- but never get a sure answer LOL so does anyone know if the Kona Island speciality drinks count as a snack credit?

As long as it's under $4 it is.
