When the battery gets under 50% I'll charge it. It depends on how I've been using the phone. Days like today, for instance, I'll probably only text with my sister briefly to check in with her. But I'm charging the phone right now because last night I was up late playing on it.

My phone I can generally get at least two days without recharging. Of course, it depends on how much you use it, what kind of use you do with it, age of the phone/battery, and a lot of other variables.

It may be "old school" thinking, but I disagree with always having ANY battery powered electronic on charge. This can be phone, tablet, laptop, power equipment, etc. My laptop I can usually get about two hours of full functioning before it needs charged. My tablet almost lasts a full day *IF* I'm on it the whole day. That I charge every night.

When it gets low, which is pretty often. I’ve got a newish iPhone 12, supplied by my IT department, and I’m sure there’s something wrong with it. It runs like a brick and the battery life is awful - it can go from 60% to 6% in an hour, just sitting there. I’ve been stranded by it several times. It’s been looked at - nothing weird shows up running in the background or has been improved by simple fixes. Pretty sure it’s just a lemon and I’ve got 18 months before I’m eligible for new one. :(
I had a Note years ago that used to get down to 50-60% and then just suddenly die. I even changed out the battery, but it didn't help. I was very glad when I could finally replace that one. I liked the phone otherwise, but the battery issues were awful.

When I was working I was the one tasked with calling co-workers who overslept. Mind you, our work day started at 3 am, so the risk of oversleeping was greater than for those working at 9 to 5 shift. People who used their cell phone as a phone and an alarm clock. If they had a dead battery, or left the phone in another part of the house, there was nothing we could do to wake them up. My favorite was the woman who overslept 6 HOURS past the start of her shift. Sadly, she overslept so often it cost her her job. And we even bought her an old fashioned alarm clock as a backup, but she refused to use it.

I charge mine when the battery goes below 60%, but I do not charge it overnight. I had two separate devices where the battery became swollen during overnight charging, so I am concerned about a battery fire while I am asleep. I have a fast charger, so charging during the day when necessary is not a problem. I do not use my phone a lot, so typically I need to charge once or twice a week, more often when on vacation.

On our old fashioned alarm clock, we've had cases where the alarm was set incorrectly, not turned on, or when setting the alarm time, the real time is accidently adjusted and not noticed. Cell phones aren't the only causes of late workers.

In fact, the only time I was late for work (on shift at 1am), was before cell phones. The person coming it at 4am noticed I wasn't there and called me.

At least you had a working phone so they could reach you. You didn't have all your "eggs in one basket" as they say. I am proud of the fact that in 42 years I never overslept. But 25 of those years I worked 11 pm to 7 am and slept 9 am to 5 pm, so I REALLY would have had to oversleep to be late for work. I did oversleep once when I was in College, but some how managed to get to work right on time. Discovered that there was a LOT less traffic at 840 am than at 8:15 am so my normal 25 minute commute was 15 minutes.

Every night for sure and then sometimes throughout the day if it has been a heavy phone use day.

When it is low (50% or so).....new phone every 2-3 days.
The one it replaced, every 4-5 hours :rolleyes2

I have no set schedule for recharging.

Playing golf 3, 4, 5 times a week I get a big battery drain using it for GPS yardages on the golf course. A round will sap maybe 30% from it.

When I'm in the car it's usually on it's wireless charging pad.

It charges really quickly, so I may have it charging for an hour here and there during the day.

Phone gets plugged in when I go to bed at night.

:o I took a bit of ribbing here on the CB the last time I mentioned my beloved clock-radio. I even set the alarm clock in hotel rooms that still have them.

We have a clock radio AND a battery powered travel alarm clock on our headboard. My wife does use her phone as an alarm clock durning the week, but not without issues. If she forgets to turn on "Do Not Disturb" on the phone we get texts in the middle of the night from our daughter who goes to work at 3am. And if she DOES turn on Do Not Disturb, she frequently forgets to turn it off so she misses calls and texts.
I rarely use my battery powered travel alarm clock anymore, only if I have an early Doctor's appointment. Our Clock radio is only used now on Sunday mornings, we get up at 6 am to do our grocery shopping.

Same. One and only time I was ever late to work in my life. I was working the pick up shift so two swings, two days and one grave. Only eight hours between two of those. I don’t know if my alarm went off or not, I was OUT. As it was it took three phone calls in a row to finally wake me up.

I have a clock radio. If it dies probably won’t replace it. Never use the radio anymore. But I use the alarm.

A normal day, it gets charged once at night so it's ready for the next day. When I'm on vacation, either I plug it into a power bank if I'm on the go, or plug it into the charger if I'm in my room for any amount of time. I use it a lot more on vacation to take photos and videos and share them with friends and family, so the battery goes down a whole lot faster.
