School's in my county were just ordered to switch to "modified schooling" starting Tuesday through April 13th. They are open on Monday so the children can pick up educational supplies.
Arizona schools are now closed until March 27. Our Spring Break (So. AZ) is next week - starting March 16. I'm an elementary teacher and wondering about state standardized testing. And so it begins.
Do you mind saying where you are? I think at this point there are way more districts closed than open. I'd be interested to hear what/where districts are not closed. No one in my family (throughout tge country)know of any districts currently open. Our district had school today. The bus went through the neighborhood about 20 minutes ago. I had been checking their website and facebook page out of curiosity through the weekend and there was no update and no mention of the mandated school closures.
Sorry. Wisconsin. Our Governor ordered schools closed as of Wednesday this week, but districts had the option to remain open today and tomorrow. I know a bunch of districts are still open today to wrap up details.Do you mind saying where you are? I think at this point there are way more districts closed than open. Oh okay, so they are planning on closing, just getting organized the next cpl. days makes sense. I'm curious if there are any districts in the US not closing at all. I'm not sure how a district could justify not closing at this point, but who knowsSorry. Wisconsin. Ours are all open in the area..at this point..but they are on spring break so they are not calling a decision at this exact moment (see my previous comments for where I'm located at). They have already warned it's possible though. They'll have to release a statement before school is back in session next week one way or another (to say they are staying open or to say they are closing).Do you mind saying where you are? NJ schools are now closed indefinitely.
Indefinitely means there is no planned date to reopen, ie until further notice. Some schools may be closed until the end of the 'normal' school year.Indefinitely makes it sound like they won’t open until next September. As far as my district has said that we will be closed until April 20th.
