Hi All..well, I made my first tutu for my DGD - I'm very proud of it. But I need to ask - are there different "grades" of tule? Since it was my first - I bought some that was like $1.59 a yard. I did notice that some of what they had was stiffer - and didn't get that, I was afraid of the "scratching" factor. What I bought is thinner and much softer - it fluffed out wonderfully! But it seems to have electricity in it, is this normal? I'm also wondering - is there another fabric that can be used other than tulle? Does organza fray? Thank you so much to all those that made it sooo easy!! I have 7 granddaughters...so I'm going to be very very busy!! :rotfl: Barb in Texas

The softest one is "Bridal Tulle", and it usually wider (sometimes up to 108" wide), and it is much finer, the little holes are smaller and it drapes a lot nicer. Instead of $1.59 a yard, it might be more like $3.98 yard (but since it is so wide, you might not need as much).
