Hi all. We're in the US, Boston. The family, all 10 of us, are planning a trip to Ireland this summer. That's where the grandparents are from and my mil really wants to go back to see her mum and dad's home. So, are there any things we should keep in mind or any websites that might be better than others for planning? We are hoping to rent a house, not sure where yet. This is very early stage. Would really love some website thoughts or pitfalls to avoid. Thanks.

Guess I was pretty vague. Sorry. Kinda like saying you're visiting the US, where's a good place to stay. I'm thinking the family was hoping for Cork/Kerry area. At least that's where the 'old' family is from..that area. It's amazing how much we don't know about our homelands until we start trying to visit. Thanks for the sites you gave.

I've spent a while near Cork on business and depending on what airport you are flying into you can get good cheap internal flights with Aer Arran:

Also, if you want somewhere nice to have a meal try The Bosun in Monkstown (over the river from Cobh):

They do some very nice sea food dishes :)

Cobh is worth a visit. It's the last place the Titanic docked before setting off to America:
